History
Parson's Pond is a thriving community with an oil history. During the late 1800's there were several wells and a basic refining operation here. The original well sites and hardware can still be seen on the western side of Parson's Pond, and can be visited by boat.
Moulting Pond, a natural body of water situated in the community provides an ideal swimming area.
One of nature's most marvellous creations, The Arches, is located just a few kilometres north of Parson's Pond, and the Provincial Day Park provides a large parking area, interpretation site, picnic tables, and toilet facilities. The Arches are interesting and beautiful beyond compare.
The community staff are always there to offer information on Boat Tours, Fishing and Camping areas, etc.
A friendly town!
