History
Forrester's Point is located just off Route 430 heading north. It is a fishing community, with a distinct culture and language. The community has one general store that has served the community since 1938. The community is located 0.5 km from Current Island. This is the island where most of the older residents of Forrester's Point lived before resettlement in the 1960's. Before resettlement, very few families lived in Forrester's Point.
Forrester's Point is located close to St. Genevieve River. St. Genevieve is an anglers challenge with many large salmon. It is a well known river and is visited by many people every year.
